Tip of the Month

Ok so here is a tip i have done and has rewarded big time a few times "But" . If you asked my poker coach he would prob say wrong move sir . Here's what i do , so say you just lost out on your two pair flop and they have a set  you got stacked . But Bam ,very next hand you have AA or KK and believe me it's happened a few times to me . What i will do is just shove it all-in pre . Very powerful if you happen to hit them in Ep because most players insta-think you are on Tilt and are more likely to call with as low as 77 and even AJo . The fish will call even with worse if they just seen what happened . Try it, but i am saying if you get AA or KK right after you got stacked on that table, not worse hands. Good luck at the tables.

Well just hit $400.00 mark again lol . Hope to play hard and smart this next Month so i can get my roll up to $600.00 to start trying .10-.25 again . Had a very strong start Nov was winning a Buy-in a day but around the 20th had two bad days then went back to getting it all back so a strong start and strong finish for the Month .

                                            You just have to give it your all if you want it bad enough . Poker is the same way somedays you just fell like you can do nothing right, lose every pot no matter what .And that's when you need to review hands take a breather and accept what has just happened . You can't go back in time and change it but you can learn from past mistakes. For me i think my biggest mistake in poker i can't learn from. And that is calling when i am beat . Laying down the huge hands where you think to yourself well maybe i make this hero call and get paid off lol . It rarely happens a total -Ev mistake , i seem to keep making. I got the Train wreck Badge

Yep got the Train Wreck badge on P.T.R. never ever thought i would get it. I am truly glad Oct is over.

                                  I believe once i moved up to .10-.25 and i was mixing them with .05-.10 tables at the same time, it really confused my decisions . Also playing long sessions isn't my strong points , it's the worst month i have ever had but also higher stakes so pretty Obv . I hate posting failures, but it's to remind me and for other players to learn by my mistakes. I will move back up to .10-.25 once i reach $500.00 again but play only .10-.25 not mixing them up with .05-.10 and maybe only 4 tabling instead of 12 tabling it.

                     

Tip of the Month T.V.P.

                               That's right T.V.P.  over the weekend i played Tunnel Vision Poker that's what i would called it, meaning all i see is what i have, not what the opponent could have. It's a major disaster playing that way all your trying to do is extract all the value out of your top pair and don't even second guess why they just reraised you or they check called you. You need to stop for a second and realize that most of the time they are trying to either catch up or they already have you beat. It's going to prob be a sad ending for me this month after i had just made a great comebck with 10 days to end the month up. Now im in deep Shttt lol and deff wont be a break even month ugh .I had just got done reading Blackrains article about it's ok to take a break but it went right out the window . Sorry Nathan for letting you down this month ugh , now i shall find that old Quiet Riot cassette and Play  "BangYour Head" lol.

Losing Focus

                                    Well i started off the first 3 days of Oct up $120.00 for the month then it happened. Losing focus playing too long of sessions calling too much so i ended up losing that and down about $20.00, not really a big deal in that i started mixing .05-.10games up with .10-.25 games so a learning curve to say the least. As of today im up $38.63 not counting Rakeback for the month with 34,861 hands played so far .We still have 10 days left for the month and i hope to play very solid poker. The picture is a 1964 Vw Bus we just bought for my 14yr old son so him and i can fix it up the next couple years for him to have. Yea it's a rust bucket but it's a split window bus
                       

$500.00 mark

                      Just hit the $500.00 mark and hope to keep my game solid to start playing .10-.25 games. I have been desciplined lately laying down QQ and even KK in certain situtations , very tuff to do very, very tuff as you all know. As i have said in the past it is very hard to win the money but alot easier to give it away on bad calls or bad bets that put you in a horrible spot. I hope i can continue this type of success as i move up, i have been getting alot of respect from some regs at the Tables. One of them actually laid down KK pre when he raised mid pos i reraised from BB  i don't even remember what hand i had but i think QQ so he thinks, folds and shows it . I say WOW . This is from a player that has a stat of VPIP 21% PFR 13% AGG 2.3 HANDS 13,000 but he respects my game. He knows im pretty solid. He has lost a bunch of hands to me because he will pick bad spots play bad cards and then he wonders why i own him most of the time. Not because i'm lucky but because i try to play solid well most of the time. Then when i get all wild you know like flat his raise pre in pos on btn with 78s or k10o and hit he just can't believe i played that hand . So the power of image at the table is huge. I also have to give a big thanks to a well known player i mentioned earlier in a few posts back. I have always been a winning player since i started a few years back, but getting some coaching advice has cleaned up most of my game. I admit i still donk call , still donk shove , still make horrible decisions but i know what is right and wrong when i do it, If that makes any since to you guys and gals. Hit The $400.00 mark last day of the month

Well my bankroll is at $400.00 mark . I started it with $30.00 after Black Friday when my $1,500.00 bankroll was stuck on FullTilt for those who haven't been following my Blog. I hope October will be another good month so then i might take a shot at the next level and see what happens. I have learned a ton in the last couple weeks of Sept , and hope to iron my game out better in the next month > being aware of the players around your table and what they are trying to accomplish has helped out alot , are they the Agg type are they on your right or left side , what about the nits where are they sitting and the fish are they on your right side hopefully. I had a player laugh at me when i jump off the table real quick and reseated when i seen a seat open on the right of a fish , but he wasn't laughing about 10 hands later when i took the fishes stack from him lol..

           And i also hit a Royal flush on Merge today . so they will give me an extra 100BB because i used two of my hole cards to do it. Awesome board right :) and i got opponents whole stack . So it went very well , i did have a couple guys hit river suckouts on my floppped str8 and i ran into QQQQ again i had pocket 10s
and no other tens came so i got out cheap lol .

$200.00 mark Climbing the ladder again

                                            Well happy to say i just hit the $200.00 on Merge account . I should have been there a month ago easily but my play was spewey and really i had some tuff beats . Like today i get pocket 9s hit the fullhouse on the turn shove river and he calls with what?? you guessed it QQQQ lol yep quads ..I had him right where he wanted me lol . Anyway i paid for a 1 hour lesson from Blackrain79 and it was helpful . I mean i obv know alot of my plays were just not good but that's how you kind of learn . I am planning on paying for at least two more 1 hour lessons From Nathan very good stuff i have always admired him and his play style . He told me that Nanonoko moved to Vancouver so he could continue to play online poker . He said he would love to have coffee with him to talk a little poker . That's how i felt , like i was talking to Nanonoko of the micros , Nathan is very smart about analyzing plays and how to get value . Anyhow gotta go

Good so far

                                                                     
Well i have been running well so far this month. I have thought about last months disaster and this month i'm trying not to play any .01-.02 NL just .05-.10 9max. You may be saying What, if your losing you should stay at the lowest levels , but last month i was mixing .01-.02 games with .05-.10 trying to multi table. I even played some 6max at the end of the Month . I feel there is better play and easier reads in .05-.10 games for some reason so far. I have also been calling in position more often with monsters and it has payed off . I am playing shorter sessions because the long ones just get me in trouble for some reason.my longest session was 1174 hands in .05-.10 i won .87 cents ughhh..

Here is .05-.10 NL 9max for this month so far.. Hope i can stay solid the rest of the month ,but i'm sure the Bad beats are knocking at the door... 

                                                 

I lost my Mojo

From a winning player to becoming a loser Sucks. I have had the worst month ever last Month in all my cash games i have played so far . I am going to change styles again for awhile to see if it helps. But the coolers have totally played mind games with me and prob tilted me . I play super tight and lose then i try playing agg and lose it has been frustrating to say the least. I hope Sept will be a break even month that's all i ask for i guess. If i end up being a $1.00 ahead in sept i will be afreakinmazed (if thats a word). Good luck at the tables , Chris

Don't worry about me i will be OK LOL

                                        Well the last two small sessions i played i won back $15.00 ,so i am getting some of my losses back. I have only had one losing month since i have started cash games i believe. But it looks as if this will be my 1st losing month of This year ughh unless i can get cards to hold and have fish give me lots of money the next few weeks LOL ..also if anyone is interested in my Skype name it's all-in-clubs  . I hardly ever get on it anymore. I use to use it once a week , i would sweat a player that played higher limits then me . Then the next week he would sweat me . I learned a few good tips from him. But one thing you don't ever want to do is change your game drastically at once because it can really screw you up . Little subtle changes is better i think , because then you can figure out if that change is helping or hendering your game . Big changes at one time messes you up because to many things that you changed at once, then it's harder to find the leaks or problems your facing in your game. thanks again for reading my Blog ,Chris

Falling off the space needle

                                         Well we just got back from a short Vacation. we went up to Seattle went on a underground tour of where they built part of the City on top of the old city. We went up on the Space Needle which is pretty awesome but they charged $18.00 each  seems kinda steep . And did some tent camping then drove up to Mt St Helens did a little hiking . The weather was great , poker has sucked for me this month . It's the worst i have ever played i guess . I have lost $103.00 so far this Month in .02-.04 games out of playing only 9,000 hands. I cant seem to lay down my cards and it seems like i am getting guys calling with junk and hitting when i raise with bigg hands preflop. They seem to always be in position on me or they know exactly my tendencys are.The regs have been beating the hell out of me on my left and right side . So i just need to stop playing and figure out what's going on . Maybe i'm playing scared according to HEM manager . Hope everyone else is doing alot better than i am LOl. I need to adjust my starting hands and play in position more often i believe... take care gonna go watch a movie with the wife weeeee....:) :)

Coolered , Frozennnnnnnn

         Wow , im in shock......... I just hit cooler after river cooler after cooler Today 1st day of Aug grrrrr. I made $50.00 in July but i just lost $40.00 today with trip over trips, full houses over full house and donks hitting rivers left and right .. i think this is the most BB ive lost in back to back sessions ever  in the least amount of hands . I played 1220 hands and lost 10 buy-ins .. So ,i guess back to the drawing board on reviewing the hands i played so sickening .. I didn't stop at my 3 buy-in loss rule and that was my biggest mistake i think ..    I lost 5 1/2 buy ins the first session . then 2nd session i was up 1 1/2 buy-ins and it went downhill from there.. Ouch and i thought i was a good player LOL.. I have a lot of work this month to digg out of this hole ... Thanks for reading Chris ...

 Well 11,462 hands later from starting with $30.00 on Merge i hit $100.00 mark Today July 1st 2011

I feel my game is pretty solid so far. and in the Poker News we are all still waiting to see whats going to happen with Full Tilt and our money thats tied up . I really suggest to players that are still waiting it out to maybe deposit a little and start playing some hands just to stay fresh with your game and to Build a little bankroll maybe . Think of it as cheap entertainment for now, and hope that it will soon become legal so we can all reap the rewards . I feel i should be leaving another poker tip for micro players on how to be a winning player . Let me see Hmmm , Ok "Table Selection" , yes table selection is very important and to be aware of who is sitting in position and out of position on you is important also . Try to notice patterns on types of players . I hope this helps but by no means take to heart my advice . Thanks Chris

Grinding

 If you read my blog from the start you will know i started out with a $50.00 deposit on Full Tilt .My wife deposited in my account for my Birthday. I ran it up to $1500.00 and then Black Friday came and Full Tilt still has my money locked up on there site. it sucks all the hours of hard work and can't get my money . I was just ready to move up to .10 -25  ring games . So i stopped playing for about 6 weeks after BF to see what was going to happen and what the best site would be to deposit on again. Nothing happened and researching the sites i found that RPM was a "MERGE" site that was user friendly and had instant chat to customer service. I love that feature about them otherwise it would have been Carbon or Lock poker , so i deposited $30.00 and  am currently grinding my way up the ladder again i am at $70.00 so far after 6,200 hands . I have not got into being able to grind out 2,000-3,000 hands a day like i use to yet. Just trying to make a buy-in or if i lose 2 /12 buy-ins i will quit for the day.I know i have talked to pros that say just grind it out even if you lose 2 -3 buy-ins but it's a better strategie for me to just stop for an hour or the whole day if i lose that much. Anyway good luck to everyone at the tables don't let the bad beats tilt you and enjoy playing.

Well i have doubled my deposit of $30.00 to $60.00 now on RPM poker.They are a Merge Network site but i love the user friendly screen and they also have instant Chat with support. I really haven't grinded very many hands yet just not in the zone since B.Friday hit .

                   

Starting Over

well i just deposited $30.00 on a poker site oh what fun starting all over ughh. I have $1,500.00 tied up on Full Tilt until they figure out how we are getting paid. I hope this all works out soon, but the news is not sounding very pleasant right now . It's just a big bad beat we have all ran into , and i shoulda had my money on Pokerstars instead, i coulda had money on Pokerstars , or i woulda had money on Pokerstars if i knew >if i knew Shoulda,Coulda,Woulda, never helps does it LOL. Black Friday

So it's been a couple weeks April 15th when the FBI shut down the sites. I have not deposited to a US site yet. I have been waiting for the dust to settle a little and wanted to see where the best bonus codes and Rakebacks were  before i decide. Dusty Scmidt seems to have a great deaal he is offerirng right now on his site to join Black chip poker   http://dustyschmidt.net/dusty_schmidt_blog/      I also think that carbon and Lock which are both affilated to Merge network have great rakeback deals. I will prob wait one more week then decide where to play. It looks like theres only about 10,000 players playing on any of those sites so i dont like that but we really have no other choice right now . I also fell pretty confident we will all get our money back that we have tied up on Full Tilt , so im not to worried about it ethier way ,i guess even though it is $1500.00 . I only actually deposited $50.00 and built it up to that .  So i hope everyone is doing great and still studying as much as you can about the game because if it does open back up to everyone will need to be preparred for it. Ironman Tourney

Well played my Silver and Gold Ironman tickets today.Did ok i almost final tabled the Gold was shrtstacked in the BB with 1010. Utg raises pre i shove and dam 10th place sick $75.00 9th would have paid $150.00 LOL. Worst part is he hit A on the river to knock me out..

So it's April now

I started off March just killing the game. I was up over 30+ buy-ins by the third week, but the last week coolered me big time,still made money , so i am not sure if i will make it to $1600.00 to move up this month or not. I feel i will fall a little short but who knows.

Heres a hand today,that wow i was ahead till the turn ,we both got our money in on the turn and now i have a 2% chance to catch a 5 on the river and it comes LOL. Feels great, been playing pretty well lately have had some suck outs like this one today

I checked the flop he bets i reraise huge he shoves allin i call and bam rivered the fullhouse. Pretty typical hes not folding trips and im not folding 2nd best flush on the flop.

I will move up to .10-.25 NL when i get up to $1600.00 bankroll Hopefully wont take too long. But in the game of poker you just never know when #$%^& hits the fan.

Tip of the month

                                                     
Well maybe not a great tip .But if you are just starting at .01-.02 tables try not to bluff ,mostly because majority of players are not folding any single pair. Value betting, yes try to get as much value as you can from your hand but dont make huge pots unless you have trips or better. Full ring or 6 max tables, well if you cant stand being on the tighter side your probally best to play at 6max because you can open your hand ranges more and play in more pots because of 3 less players .But in Full ring you can get into some nice large multiway pots once in a great while. Dont try to play a mix of 6max and full ring at the same time and dont mix .01-.02 tables and .02-.05 tables up at the same time it just makes things more confusiing ,Trust me ive done it. But maybe try 5-10 sessions of 6 max then try 5-10 sessions of fullring and compare them on how you did ,which game you like playing better and then try to figure out everything you can about that game because there is a big difference between them just ask the pros. Great way to End Feb

Well i couldn't win a pot it seemed like yesterday , but woke up this morning and right off the bat i get it in
preflop with AA and it holds sweet

I ended up playing 42,425 hands and won 19.5 buy-ins at .5-.10 not counting Rakeback. I hope march will be just as good to me.

It's been a hard battle so far at .5-.10 games but just squeezed into the $900.00 club today..

We will be partying at the $1,000.00 when i get there. Just stay focused with the ups and downs little by little you can Grind from the bottom up,

Young Vs OLd Tourney On Cardschat

Well i Haven't played in a tourney since June 2010 Thats when i stopped sit& goes and tourneys and started the Cash Ring games only. But cardscaht had a Young Vs Old Tourney figured it would be fun to razz each other. Ended up 55 players $5.00+ $1.00 buy-in . I placed 6th not bad , i have always played really good in tourneys but takes so long i think this was like 3.5 hours . But still enjoyed it alot .

Just made it over $800.00 weee figured i would post screen shot well it was still at $800.00 so made some adjustments this month and reviewed lots of plays i made. Made a horrible shove today

Shoved turn with possible str8 out there and two more flsh draws.Maybe the shove was correct in this situation. Oh well..he won ..

Back in 700club

     Yep dove back in the $700.00 club because of Rakeback and a little run so far. I stuck with .05-.10 just playing a little different style again and cards holding so far.

The Rakeback has really increased a lot just hope i have a winning month. I put myself in a bad situation last month but all is good . Please when you move up in stakes please, please review your plays after a session. The biggest thing is when you move up a notch you are very nervous or at least i am and are ussually not playing your A game for awhile.And if you start out on a bad run if makes everything worse.So good luck this month to everyone. Thanks Chris
