Why play Passive in poker

It depends on the situation but if you "Give them enough rope they will usually hang themselves". Not all the time but most times the aggresive betters cant help but to keep betting,betting,betting. In key plays you can make twice as much on the pot if you played it right. Confusing the opponent is critcal in poker to be a winning player. If you switch your style up it will throw them off. This means sometimes you have to Cbet your top pairs and sometimes you dont, they will do all the betting for you. This maybe unconventional to the style most people teach, but when everyone is playing aggresive poker why bet.

Remember Give them a Little Rope  Good Luck at the Tables. Chris

Quote

{The more you glorify moving up, the harder it will be for you to do so comfortably.}

Not sure what to think about this quote above from CardsChat.com . Moving up stakes ? should you be nervous about ? Should you change your style of play because they say they play totally different?  I have played 8,000 hands now at the new level and am pretty close to break even poker. Wish i was up 5-10 buy-ins but am glad i am not down that much too . My rakeback has increased for the week so thats a plus. Just hope the next 8,000 hands i can get moving the bankroll up.I have played pretty solid poker so far and have uped <<if thats a word LOL my aggresion a little on flp, and turn. I still have a showdown leak but working on it. I feel pretty comfortabe at this level so i will be grinding a lot more hands this next week or two.
          Good luck everyone shuffle up and deal and catchem in the air , Chris

time to move up to .02-.05 games

      I have grinded my ass off the last few months and finally reached my goal of 100 Buy-ins to move up to .02-.05 games. I have played almost 200,000 hands of .01-.02 games.And on my birthaday Nov 8th 2010 I reached my goal,Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Now i shall grind out .02-.05 to $1,000.00 hopefully to move up to .05-.10 games. I have been told by Cardschat forum members i am wasting my time at these levels and you dont need 100 buy ins to move up. I know one thing i have a big comfort zone with 100 Buy-ins and downswings can be a bitch. Anyway wish me luck and i wish you all luck also. Thanks Chris

Who Is This Guy from Oregon :)

This guy is Dusty Schmidt Aka "LeatherAss9" the one who got me started in cash games. I was at work reading an article about Him .He was playing poker on his laptop in Downtown Portland,Or in the winter trying to pay it forward to the homeless. He raised enough money in a about a week i think to get three familys in homes to start fresh again. I read that he had won a few million playing online cash Ring games. I always played 9 player sit&gos and could build my bankroll up a little at a time. So here i am grinding the Cash ring games from the bottom .01 -.02 tables to work my way up. i believe it is very possible to do that. I started with $50.00 deposit in Full Tilt account my wife gave to me for my B-day present. now i am close to $500.00 to start playing .02 - .05 games. I have an account with pokerstars and started that account on $50.00 and got it up to around $600.00 before i started withdrawling money from it. Then i went on a major tilt on thier site for about a week or two. It was horrible the bad beats i was getting. When you can call the one out card on the river when your both all-in on the flop and he gets it almost everytime you go on tilt. Major tilt so i stopped playing there and started on FullTilt<< Ironic LOL.. Im done writing for now hate long letters good luck everyone at the tables.
                             Thanks for reading Chris    Ps: Dont Tilt take a break or limit losing sessions to a max amount each time..
