Tip: Join a poker forum

If you dont belong to a poker forum like 2+2 or cardschat you should. Why? because you meet other poker players in the same situations you have been in .So you gets lots of ideas from other players and help. Some have Skype and teamviewer so you can review how you played certain hands and can help you plug leaks in your game. I have learned lots just reading on there about diff hands how they played them and just basic poker crap. Any way cardschat forum is right here   http://www.cardschat.com/ come check it .

Dont play because you have to..

One thing about the iron man challenge is sometimes you have to get so many hands in a day to get your points. I have been putting in About 2,500 hands a day in to get silver at .05-.10 not a good plan so far. This will be my first losing month since i started my grind from .01-.02 . i am down 20 buy-ins at .05-.10 not good.  So starting Feb i go back to .02-.05 i just get 50 point days for bronze iron. I just am no good at long session poker  for some reason. I believe in sticking with a plan that if you lose 2.5 buy-ins you quit that session. And i have gone against my plans this month and it has been a mistake i shall fix  somehow LOL.I really hate posting this because i want others to follow the right way to play disclpined and respect thier bankroll .I have played horrible, made big call down mistakes and have payed a little for it .i have also berated at the tables other players that wont fold and catch on the river, which you should never even vent your frustration on the chatbox because you want them to call with the crap hands you just hate the results when they catch. Oh well here comes Feb a new start to hopefully better poker days LOL

Getting a mentor or coach.

So far in my game i have not had any help from someone doing sweat sessions or reviewing my hand histories to tell me where i am leaking or what to change to add to my arsenol of weapons at the table. I have just studied lots of top players on how they play situations and i am a emmulator. Cameleon if you will, to adapt to change is hard but very profitable .So if you copycat a certain style of someone thats a winning player or a couple of styles so you can change your game up once in awhile or you take in general what the majority of top players do the same it will help your game. Now i feel my game will be stronger if i find the right mentor the guy thats a winning player in higher levels to help me move up would be great. Otherwise i will drive down this rough and winedy road  with flat tires and all . If any of you top players belly drag down to my blog and are interested in doing a sweat or letting me watch a sweat of you playing please respond.

A good tip for cash players

If you are going to play cash rings games online you want to set your auto top to max buy-in at the tables you play. You always want to have a full stack ready for that one hand that lets you put as much as you can in the pot against your opponent and get the most you can from him. If  you only start with a half stack and end up getting it in with AA against 1010 and you win, your only winning half as much as you could have if he was full stacked. And  hands like those dont come very often so you have to be prepared ready with that full stack when they do come along.(example) If you got in a multiway pot and you have only $2.50 the other guys have $2.50 and $5.00 and everyone ends up going all-in the guy with $2.50 beats you both but your hand was better than the full stack guy which means If you had a fullstack you lose $2.50 to the shortstack but win back $2.50 from the other fullstack that was in the hand. Always play with a full stack.

It's a New Year

Yep ,Hope everyone enjoyed thier Holidays. And hope we all do great at the tables this year.I haven't set any goals for poker yet just the play more hands, win more money and study the game lots.Studying the players the level that you are playing ,that are top winners, i believe is the key of becoming a good or winning player also. Some of the hands you see them play and how they play them in certain positions on the table are very important to understand why they are playing that way. Like i said before the way i play is not the way i want to play but the way winning players win money and its very hard to adjsut sometimes to that. Folding big hands and not going to showdown are hard things to do. But you have to to be a winning player.
Enough talk so hit the tables and learn lots .
