Well i hit a 12 BB loss yesterday the biggest swing yet .Seven of them were bad beats they sucked out there cards after getting it all-in preflop with the best hand. I reviewed my 5,000 hands i played and only two situations i should have got out of ,the rest of them were fine. Oh well, i got 3BB back today at the tables and another 3 BB back from rakeback. Still made the top 50 so, I'm happy :) .And a new month coming up for a bigger chance to be top 10 in Sept.
Enjoy the Week ,, Chris

Took this Picture of Doyle Brunson at W.S.O.P 2010 this year when I took my family to Vegas in June .It was the first time I've been there at the Rio. It was awesome so many poker tables, 100's of them and all the pros were there all over the place.I didn't play in any of the events didn't have that type of cash but played two of the nightly $100.00 tourneys they had at the W.S.O.P. And was fun but they start you out with such a short stack of chips you really cant play the game unless you double up early in the game. I came in 95 out of 195 players the first night and about the same the second night. But i still had a really great time being there.

Poker and Math
Poker is not just a card game of all luck. You have to use some basic math skills to be a winning player. You can pull off bluffs once in a great while . They say usually maybe 1 out every 18 hands but you need to use math to win the most. Pot odds is very important. Pot odds means how much do you need to invest in the
pot to see another card or to call a bet on the turn or river, is it going to be worth how much money you need invest in the pot to win it, even if you think they have your hand beat .So if there's $1.00 in the pot and they make a bet on the river of .10 obviously you would make the call even if you have a mid pair. but If they made it $1.00 to call and you know your hand is beat obv you shouldn't invest in the pot.
Also using card outs to your advantage. If the flop comes 10,9,4. And you have Q,J and they made a bet of .25 into a $.75 pot you would want to make a call because you have two over cards a open ended straight draw and maybe some flush card outs. Which, outs are the cards you need to make the hand. So if a Q or J hit the turn ,you have top pair so theres 3 Q's left and 3J's left theres 6 outs right there. If a 8 or k comes that's your straight so theres another 8 outs.Amazing how many cards you could catch to win this pot .So its well to your advantage to make a call or even make a raise to build the pot up.Use math to take
advantage of becoming a winning poker player, Its fun.

The reason i am playing cash games and not sit&gos
I switched to cash ring games the starting of this year. I was at work and was reading the newspaper at
lunch. There was an article about Dusty "Leatherass" Schmidt he was just coming out with his book
and also was trying to make over $20,000.00 to give 3 homeless families a start. I learned he lived in the
Portland,Oregon area which i also live there and he has made a few million playing online poker starting out
with only $1,000.00 and a lot of determination. I have bugged the piss out of him trying to have me over
to coach me some . But as i figured ,he's a busy person and im just a micro grinder. So i researched as much
on his style of play on P.T.R. and reviewed thousands of the replays on him .Also found he was on cardschat.com with a "ASK ME ANYTHING" post which was really helpful. He has his own webpage
that has helpful blogs he post. Then i researched the top microgrinders since thats where i am and have
learned lots.Good bankroll management and not Tilting off your winnings is key i believe. I will move up in stakes when i have at least a 100 Buy-ins for each level.
