Tip of the Month

                        So I was talking on Skype to a top winner in .25NL I play with and he says here listen to this and it will bring you luck LOL.

                                             So i'm not much of a Tony G fan lol my Favorite player Is Daniel Negreanu but when talking with him he did talk some strat . One thing is how to play against Short Stackers . We are talking guys that have less than 3/8 stack so I play .25nl we are talking $10.00 or less guys. Higher like $12.50 we can still Flat pocket pairs and play against them with strong hands. But Regs that are Shortys we should not give them any action . When we do give them any action it should be raise them and get them all-in as fast as we can .But with super strong hands.

Another thing we talked about was getting in tough spots like you have AA and it gets multi-way 4 players in the hand ugh not good . So if theres like $6.00 in the pot now and we bet $4.00 a set miner reraises us well we are pretty committed to stacking off or folding , but say you bet like $2.00 just to see where we are at and the set miner reraises well it might be small enough still we can call and see what he does next on the turn. We have to remember it's just a Pocket pair a strong one but now with 4 players ugh it's just a pair. So sometimes betting not bloating the pot we can see where we stand , yes we are making it cheaper for people to call and catch but the risk to reward might be well worth it. You can try this out but by no means live by my tips I would hate to give wrong advice but it has seemed to work well lately .

Oh one other thing I have talked to two of the top winners at my level and one of them does'nt even have a hud the other plays with his off . So I think hmm why ? And the first thing they think is .Ask yourself what do you think the opponent has pre , flop, turn, River . They do give lots of credit even to fish and I think sometimes when we are just looking at the stats we are not thinking what hands they could have . They take lots of notes on players and they also are very smart on knowing how the regs play. I also played a few of my sessions with the hud turned off ,the sessions went well but I did have my KK run into a super 0% 3bet nit that without stats I didn't know and of course he had AA lol. I checked after the session was curious about his play. So give it a shot once in awhile turn the Hud off and play a super focused folding in tough spots session :) 

The Big Pot of Gold

         So I think this is the Biggest pot I have won so far playing online cash games. I thought for sure someone was holding AJs maybe and just was hoping to fill-up on the river, but must be my lucky pot I guess because my hand held.This month has been pretty horrible so far . It's one of those win a little one session then give it all back plus some on the next session ugh. So at the moment I am down almost two buyins for 13,000 hands this Month, which sucks because on the 3rd of the month I was up 5 buyins yuck . Guess I will keep grinding. One positive thing is I just recieved my first cash out on Merge and bought a new 42" Lcd TV so I am now waiting for a 15' HDMI cord I ordered so I can plug  my Laptop in and play on a Bigger screen weee. Hope it works ok someone told me I can adjust settings so I can tile them on the TV that would be nice because I usually play 9 tables and have to overlap them on my 17.3" Laptop. Yeay e have A winner

So I put a Twist in the 1,000 post contest. I told them I would pick a winner . But instead I had my wife pick  two finalists out of a hat then I setup a Headsup match for the win . Was great fun for them both I think, It was a prvate sng so I wasn't even able to sweat them just was able to see chipstack sizes. It went back and forth so all and all a good Match, here are some screen shots.

My #1,000 post "Paying It Forward"

Ok, so I belong to this free poker forum called Cardschat .It's like 2+2 but way smaller ,I have been a member since March of 2010 . And usually when you hit your 1,000 post you will give back to the members  .Well it can be anything how you got started or advice and tips on the type of games you play or whatever you would like to post .Well I think about a year ago a member posted that he wanted to give back and he gave out a $200.00 bankroll for someone to start out at grinding .10nl tables . I really admired that, someone would do a generous thing for someone that we really don't even know well just by the forum that's it. So I just hit my 1,000 post on there and am doing what he did "Paying It Forward" not $200.00 but

Feb i'm still Clmbing the Ladder

                  I don't want to speak to soon because it might bite me in the azzzz like it always does . But i'm having a good start so far this month with not many hands played. I have a grand total of 68,986 hands in the .25nl game so far. I would prob take a stab at .50 NL but i want to take some money out to enjoy it . Because i built $50.00 up to $1,500.00 On Full TIlt and now there it sits stuck on FT. So i have turned $30.00 into over $1,700.00 now and am going to take out everything but $600.00 of it to enjoy , then when i grind it back to $1,000.00  i  will prob take a stab at the .50NL and see how it goes. My play style is just focus, focus, focus that has been key so far .And take a little at a time don't get greedy with pots or even when your on a winning session if your happy with a short winning session that's cool just stop and enjoy it ,play later. i can't believe it has almost been one year already since BLACK Friday ugh how time flys.Also i have noticed the poker site has been getting bigger it use to peak at about 10,000 players now i have seen it as high as 14,000 at times so that's always good to have new players. well that's about it for now i hope you are learning how to win at poker like i am slowly but steady we will Climb The Ladder.

It's Feb The Hadron Collider Effect

                                         

Well i made it out of Jan as a winner in the .25nl . Not a big winner i still have lots to learn at the .25 NL level. There's some really great players at this level that i admire, and some not so much .I am learning stuff everyday here i take tons of notes . I will post my Graph as you can see there are two big downs on it where i was trying to readjust my game.

                                                            You can't dwell on what you lost ,you just have to try and get better so your not doing it all the time. I have also put in for my first $300.00 W.D. they said it takes 6-8 weeks ugh oh well. Not much else to post for now, just trying to keep learning and grinding my way up the ladder.

                               You want to start winning at the Micros? Learn from him, he's the best of the best, most winnings ever in the micros ,how many hands has he played , millions ,yep i said Millions . When it comes to playing your hand as perfect as you can i would say Nathan knows exactly what move to do everytime . Some plays he will tell you to do you think, but how can i fold here, well if you thought about it he would be correct because alot of times hes saving big money by laying down hands in bad spots to call off a chunk of change.
